At the ACA we focus not just on cricket but on academic studies too, and each player receives an individualised programme to meet their specific needs.

Sussex Cricket are a leading county academy in England and Wales with many players moving through the system to become professional male and female international cricketers. The ACA follows similar training methods and principles endorsed by the County and many of the coaching staff have been active members of the County set up. This allows for the best possible programme to be delivered to the students and provides you with a sound platform for furthering your cricketing ambitions.

Cricket is a far reaching career path and the programme offers scope to develop skills not just associated with playing the game. The students will also:

  • gain qualifications and experience in coaching
  • understand and build their ability in many aspects of applied sport science- strength and conditioning; performance analysis; sport psychology
  • have access to officiating courses
  • be exposed to aspects of ground maintenance, and
  • develop skills in sports management.

Aldridge Cricket Academy students can opt to study their A levels and other qualifications at either BACA or PACA. Students come together for all of their cricket development and the programme is specifically arranged to work equally well for students studying at either location.

BACA and PACA sixth forms offer different ranges of subjects and options, and we recommend that you look at both prospectuses and speak to academic staff before making a decision on which campus to study at.
