The ACA is passionate about allowing players to experience the wider benefits of being part of a sport that is enjoyed around the world in a variety of countries and cultures. To that end biannual tours will be organised to provide you with once in a lifetime opportunities to test your cricketing skills in very different environment as well as exploring other cultures.

Our first cricket tour, to South Africa, took place between 11th and 21st February 2015. The players selected had a wonderful opportunity to combine developing their cricketing skills against top class opposition in an entirely new environment, with some amazing life-experiences.

The players and staff raised £50,000 to support the tour themselves and enjoyed both some incredible experiences and a good deal of success on the field, winning six out of eight games.

The Tour was a valuable learning experience as it pushed the student’s sporting boundaries; Tara Norris, year 12 student who participated in the England Woman’s U-19 pace bowling camp in South Africa just before this tour, said “I learnt to make the most of every opportunity and to be pushed outside my comfort zone as great things happened when I did this.  If I have confidence in myself and don’t overthink things I perform better and am more relaxed.”
