Aldridge Cricket Academy Player Named In Sussex’s 2016 Academy Intake

Date: 18th November 2015

Tara Norris, who joined the Aldridge Cricket Academy in 2014 and studies at Portslade Aldridge Community Academy, has been named by Sussex County Cricket Club in their 2016 Academy intake.

Tara is an already established member of the Sussex Women’s team, which won the T20 Championship during the summer, and has played for England Under 19’s. She was part of the Aldridge Cricket Academy squad which toured South Africa in February and recently joined Sussex fast bowlers Tymal Mills and James Anyon and SCCC officials at a ceremony to mark the beginning of construction of the new £1.8m indoor cricket centre at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy’s Falmer campus (see picture above).

Jim May, Chairman of Sussex County Cricket Club and a governor of our Brighton Academy said: “Tara is the first ACA student to be selected for the Sussex Academy. It’s great news.”
